It’s been a good week for running. I am feeling like a proper runner again.
Saturday: 12 miles
Tuesday: 10.8 miles
Thursday: Treadmill run
My lovely neighbour snuck round at 8pm to look after a sleeping Dude and I sloped off to our development’s treadmill for some interval training. There is now a tiny hint of me that enjoys treadmill running. I did the whole interval training thing again – 1/4 mile @ 9.30, 1/4 mile at 8.30 and 1/2 mile at 8.00 (according to the treadmill, never entirely sure about their numbers). You get the idea anyway. It was tough but easier than last time I did it two weeks ago. I came away feeling hard as nails! 6 miles in 50.35 at an 8.26 pace.
The downside of evening running is that then I sat on the sofa and re-hydrated with a glass of red. Hmmm.
Weight lost: No extra pounds have been shifted but none have gone on. Two more to go to my Happy Weight.
I signed up for a 10k in April – the Apple Hill Blossom Run, just outside Sacramento. It’ll be a camping weekend with a race through the blossom-filled apple orchards. Sounds idyllic, doesn’t it. I’ll be pushing the Dude…the Husband will also be running. That makes me VERY happy.
And this afternoon we’re off to the airport to pick up our missing Husband. Cannot wait!!! SFO, here we come.
