Monday was our seventh wedding anniversary. Seven flipping lovely years with the Husband. It’s not very British to get all sentimental and romantic in public…but I do love him very much. And to celebrate, we had our first night away together since we had the Dude. Long over-due and much, much needed.
Come on, everyone loves wedding photos, don’t they? Indulge a girl.
We spent our honeymoon in California. Well, that was a waste of a honeymoon, wasn’t it!!! But it made anniversary planning much easier. We stayed at the same hotel we stayed in during our SF honeymoon days. And we ate here, a lovely French bistro in Hayes Valley. I’d wanted to eat here since New Year’s Eve, when we drove past and, lit up in the darkness, it looked like a glimpse of Belle Époque Paris. It only took us 10 months to make it. We ate amazingly well and drank fantastic cocktails. And, to celebrate our anniversary, the SF Giants kindly won the World Series so the whole city partied. For UK readers, this is like the big baseball championships whi
And then, in the morning, we went for an anniversary run. In the night, some mysterious forces had drained both the Mac laptop and the iPhone so we didn’t get any photos at all…BOOO!!! We ran a few gentle miles (maybe two and very gentle) around the city…and came back for breakfast!
Happy Anniversary Husband. You’re not a bad one. Seven years…and no itching 😉
